8LSA34.R0030D200-0 communication makes it possible to configure HART devices. This is done via the TCP/IP communication DTM from Bergerac, which scans the network and detects the entire hardware tree, including the field devices. The DTM server on the controller operates as a gateway, providing read/write access to all detailed information about the HART field devices used for asset monitoring. The read/write function block also supports this access during logic processing. Each channel on a Berger HART module has its own HART modem to make optimal use of the high transmission bandwidth of POWERLINK. In addition, the relatively slow HART channels are not further hindered by multiplexing as is common in many other systems.
The module is powered by a low-power BGA-type dual-core Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz processor. Supported by the low-power Intel NM10, the NanoCOM-CV Rev. B module has a wider temperature tolerance and good performance, making it suitable for small form factor designs in thermally critical applications or computationally intensive applications in industrial automation. Wide temperature versions for harsh environments (-40°C to +85°C) are available upon request.
